Author’s Loft is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by your failure to safeguard your credentials.

4. User Content

You retain full ownership of any content you submit, upload, or create on Author’s Loft (“User Content”).

By submitting content, you grant Author’s Loft a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

We do not claim ownership of your writing.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and must ensure it does not:

  • Infringe on intellectual property rights

  • Contain unlawful, harmful, or offensive material

  • Violate any applicable laws

5. Editing & Ghostwriting Services

Editing and ghostwriting services are provided as professional creative services, not guarantees of publication, commercial success, or literary representation.

Author’s Loft does not guarantee:

  • Acceptance by publishers or agents

  • Sales performance or market success

  • Specific editorial outcomes

All timelines are estimates unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

Some Services require payment, including memberships and professional services.

You agree that:

  • Fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated

  • Subscription fees may renew automatically unless canceled

  • Prices may change with reasonable notice

All payments are processed through third-party providers. Author’s Loft does not store full payment details.

7. Contests & Events

Writing contests and events may be hosted by third parties or Author’s Loft.

Rules, eligibility, deadlines, and prizes are governed by each individual contest or event. Author’s Loft is not responsible for third-party event outcomes.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful purposes

  • Harass, abuse, or harm others

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems

  • Upload malware or malicious code

  • Scrape or exploit the platform

Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

9. Intellectual Property

All Author’s Loft branding, logos, design elements, software, and content (excluding User Content) are the exclusive property of Author’s Loft and may not be used without written permission.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful conduct.

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Author’s Loft is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We make no warranties regarding:

  • Accuracy of content

  • Uninterrupted service

  • Error-free operation

  • Fitness for a particular purpose

Your use of the Services is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Author’s Loft shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages

  • Loss of data, profits, or opportunities

  • Creative, publishing, or business outcomes

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Author’s Loft in the past 12 months.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Author’s Loft from any claims arising from:

  • Your use of the Services

  • Your User Content

  • Violation of these Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
